Ghana Secures Convincing 6-Wicket Victory Over Seychelles

Ghana delivered an impressive all-around performance to defeat Seychelles by 6 wickets in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier B, reaffirming their strong presence in the competition.

After winning the toss, Seychelles elected to bat first but was met with a disciplined and energetic Ghanaian bowling attack. Ghana’s bowlers kept things tight from the outset, applying consistent pressure and taking wickets at regular intervals. The Seychelles struggled to build meaningful partnerships and were eventually bowled out for 72 in 19.4 overs.

The Ghana fielding unit complemented the bowling effort with sharp work in the field, ensuring that Seychelles were unable to capitalize at any stage of their innings.

In response, Ghana approached the chase with confidence and intent. Despite losing four wickets, the batting unit maintained control of the run chase, scoring at a healthy rate and putting pressure back on the opposition. Ghana comfortably reached the target, finishing on 76/4 in just 10.1 overs.

The comprehensive victory highlights Ghana’s balance as a team, with both bowlers and batters stepping up when needed. The result keeps Ghana firmly in contention as the tournament progresses.

The event is being hosted by the Ghana Cricket Association, bringing together emerging cricket nations from across the region in a competitive pathway toward global qualification.
