In a bold and inspiring move to empower young women through sports, the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA), in partnership with the Eastern Region Cricket Association, has announced the commencement of the U19 Women’s League 1. This exciting cricket league will feature eight formidable teams drawn from various communities and will run from Saturday, 12th July, to 23rd August 2025, taking place at the Abuakwa SHS and Asikuma Sports Fields.

The U19 Women’s League 1 isn’t just a competition—’s a platform designed to harness and showcase the cricketing talent of young girls in Ghana. By investing in grassroots development, GCA continues its commitment to gender inclusion and youth development in sports.
📅 Match Days and Venues
- Match Time: 10 AM each Saturday
- Venues: Abuakwa SHS Field & Asikuma Sports Field
- Duration: Saturdays from 12th July to 23rd August 2025
Fans and families are encouraged to “Join the Fun” every weekend as teams battle it out for supremacy and recognition.

From the Abuakwa Zone:
- Abuakwa Super Queens
- Mangoose Hydro Girls
- Senchi Royal Ladies
- Senchi Fire Batters
From the Asikuma Zone:
- Asikuma Queens
- Boso Terrific Hitters
- Tortibo Twinkle Stars
- Wesleyan Ladies
Each team brings its own flavor of talent, teamwork, and determination, and spectators can expect an explosive mix of passion, power, and perseverance.
