Ghanaian Coaches Attend ICC Level 2 Coaching Course in Abuja, Nigeria

Two passionate cricket coaches from Ghana, Kwamina Enu Thompson and Daniel Essel-Sawyerr, are set to participate in the ICC Level 2 Coaching Course in Abuja, Nigeria, from June 12–15, 2025.

Their attendance marks another key milestone in Ghana’s growing cricket development journey.

Kwamina Enu Thompson, representing Saltpond Cricket Hub, is actively involved with the Saltpond Sea Ravens Cricket Club and the Ras Bingi Foundation Cricket Club. Daniel Essel-Sawyerr serves with dedication at the Dompoase Kokwado Cricket Club.

Both coaches have steadily advanced through the ICC coaching pathway, earning their ICC Foundation certificates in May 2022 and September 2023, respectively, followed by the ICC Level 1 Coaching Course in December 2024, and completing the ICC Level 1 Coach Tutor Course in February 2025.

Their involvement in the Level 2 course reflects not only personal growth but also a broader commitment to the vision of making cricket a leading sport in Ghana. Through consistent grassroots engagement, Kwamina and Daniel are helping to lay the foundation for a vibrant cricket culture, nurturing young talent, and spreading the spirit of the game across communities.

Their journey continues to inspire the next generation of Ghanaian cricketers and coaches in their respective hubs at the district, regional, and national levels.
