🚨 WEEK 3 MATCH RESULTS 🚨

Accra Lilies remain unbeaten, while a downpour saved the day for Daisies to grab a win through the DLS method.

Match 5
Lilies recorded a 10-run win over Accra Tulips in the morning match of the GCA Senior Women’s 20 League 1 in Greater Accra yesterday.

The Lilies were asked to bat by the Tulips; they accepted the challenge and posted a total of 106/5 in their allotted 20 overs, with valuable contributions from top-order Mayfair Ayenabom (24) and all-rounder Joyce Ayitera (16).

In reply, Tulips fought bravely after losing their captain, Rebecca Adotei, in the first over from Esther Bakiweyem, caught by Jemima Apisa at point. but were eventually restricted to 96/9, with Joyce Ayitera (3/17) and Esther Bakiweyem (3/20) leading the way with the ball for the log leaders.

The second T20 match of the day was a crunch one for the Daisies in a must-win encounter. Being out to bat again like their previous meeting with Tulips. This time Captain Joycelyn Ahama led from the front and took the responsibility to lead the charge; she constructed a well-composed innings (21) after staying in the crease for 17 overs, and Elizabeth Frimpong (10) posted a decent total of 85/7 in 20. The total proved to be a good one to grab their first win from 4 matches.

The second innings saw forever-reliable captain Rebecca Adotei walk in with Christina Manu for the chase. They kept losing wickets in quick succession to let the total seem unreachable with innings swinging both ways until the heavy downpour halted the game, and that saved the day for the Daisies to take home their first win by 10 runs. Tulips ended on 68/9 with the DLS methodβ€”the match was reduced to 13 overs, with a target of 79 runs.

Week 4, 17th January, 2026, would see Tulips and Daisies battle once again in the morning as an eliminator. The winner will meet Lilies, the log leaders in the afternoon final.
